


Founded by An Wentzel, GFAME has as its core business; documentary film making, copy editing, proofreading, media training, public speaking, event logistics, event media and public relations. An Wentzel has worked abroad as a television trainer and television programme designer for a decade, teaching producers and directors the fundamentals of making news and entertainment shows from concept to content.
She briefly went back into the hard news field for four years before launching GFAME. An Wentzel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a writer, multi-format journalist, editor/copy editor and award-winning documentary filmmaker. She has a long history of highlighting issues facing women and children - like violence, poverty, hunger and is a supporter and fundraiser for the Tygerberg Hospital School. She has also been a part-time lecturer (Journalism) at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Her journalism experience is vast, including online, print, radio and television in hard news, features and entertainment and community interest.
An Wentzel has a BA (Literature/Sociology(Gender studies)) from UWC, which included a six-month stint at the University of Missouri's journalism department. She has also been a judge for the National Film and TV Association. She also holds a DELF certificate in French, has taken courses in modernity and sustainability, and has more recently (2021 + 2023) been selected as a participant at the Yale University Summer School Writing Workshop (Non-Fiction Feature Writing 2021, Non-Fiction Feature Writing Intensive 2023)

As South Africa’s first African female television news cameraperson, Pam Zokufa’s TV broadcasting journey started at E.tv (now NCA) in 2001. In 2007, she joined the SABC. Throughout her many years in broadcast journalism, she has won numerous awards including, the Vodacom Journalism National TV Feature of the year in 2014.
She is multi-talented and works as TV Broadcast Director, Film Producer and Video Editor. She is also the Founder and CEO of Zokufa Media Productions, her own multimedia production institution.
She has also facilitated Media Production lessons at Media Village and assisted in conducting community awareness programs about human trafficking. In 2014, she trained videographers in Nigeria and Zambia and in 2015, she conducted training at the SABC as a Technical Director for television. During the Pandemic in 2020 she joined the Ladles of love production team as a production coordinator/manager. Most recently she has completed and launched a documentary series dedicated to highlighting the stories of South Africa’s Unsung Heroes.

Melissa Wentzel is GFAME's production manager, training and events co-ordinator. Melissa has worked as a teacher, lecturer and sports administrator and is a published academic author, as well as a coach,
athlete, workshop designer and facilitator and more recently is also a
content creator.
As a UNISA graduate with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a Master’s degree in Sport, Recreation and Exercise Science from UWC, she’s very actively involved in sport, teaching and content creation, and easily moved into the production management space. Melissa also has on set experience in short film and documentary productions. She easily moved from the lecture hall, sports field and classroom onto an active set and is often in front of the camera, as a character model and movie extra for international advertisements and films.
A resourceful team player, she is flexible and solutions-oriented and communicates effectively with stakeholders and clients. As production/project manager and content creator, she is also learning to use audio-visual equipment, lighting and video editing.
